A very rare and special paper programme made for David Wojnarowicz’s memorial service at St. Mark’s Church, New York in 1992. The trailblazing artist and activist succumbed to Aids in July 1992, leaving behind a wealth of enduring and powerful work. This yellow folded page is printed with a photograph of Wojnarowicz on the front, and reproductions of his most famous works – including the iconic Burning House image – on the inside. It also lists a selection of friends who spoke at the memorial, the music and recordings which were played, and quotes from Wojnarowicz himself.
